This is a simply massive ecommerce website! Thousands of electrical and electronic DJ products, in multi-level categories which can be browsed or searched for, and sorted by price, brand, customer rating or the most recently added.
Registered customers have access to their previous order information, a wishlist, their personal account information and preferences - as well as offering DJ Kit Loyalty Points for every purchase made on the site. They can also upload video reviews, written reviews and request a quote directly from DJ Kit via their Message Centre. This is an ever expanding website with more features being added all the time.
The backend is just as featured-packed. Enabling DJ Kit to edit the information pages on the website, product details & prices, organise product categories, manage product brands, a completely custom written content management system (CMS) has been design and developed from the ground up.
In addition to the CMS, there are a plethora of tools and functions for administering customer orders. These are designed to streamline the day-to-day workflow for DJ Kit staff and provide a seamless shopping experience for customers. The order management module deals with processing payments, modifying orders, shipping and customer finance, to name but a few.
The site’s HTML and CSS templates are being driven with PHP and a MySQL database, running on a Sun server for ultimate speed and operating efficiency.
