A complete facelift for Questonline - the Armed Forces resettlement & career guide website

A total redesign and modernisation of the Quest armed forces post-service resettlement, training and education website, to project their strong branding.

www.questonline.co.uk

Quest - originally established in 1999 - has been the go-to publication for members of the British Armed Forces, to help them with support in training, education and resettlement, once they come to end their service and military career.

The Quest website provides a wealth of news, case studies and detailed information about career options, re-training opportunities, events, jobs and apprenticeships, to help veterans move back to ‘civvy street’ and find a path into the future. The website is funded by advertising and sponsorships - using banners and logos - linking back to the supporting business and organisations, across most pages of the site.

Our task was to take their newly updated logo and design a bold and up-to-date website - which will work just as well on mobile devices, as well as larger desktop screens. The orange branding is a strong colour, which works really well with the complimentary shades of grey, to create a unified look and feel for the site, whilst allowing the sponsors' banners, and the actual site content, to be front-and-centre.

Given the variety of different types on content and information needed to be presented across different sections of the site, it was a delight to be start from scratch and find a nice solution to the overall presentation and interface. Plus there is plenty of scope for new content types in the future.

All content is fully editable using the ExpressionEngine CMS system, which we also host on our fast-performance eco-friendly renewable energy hosting platform.
