Mobile friendly ecommerce website and backend order management system for Kent coal merchant

The previous ecommerce website we built for Fordhams, lasted many years. We have now completely rebuilt the site to make it fully mobile/tablet friendly and provide up-to-date features and functions.

By retaining Fordhams' existing logo and branding (also designed by IC360) we were able to evolve their new website's design into a fully mobile / tablet friendly coded site, which should last for may years to come.

All the usual features are there for the customer, such as:

• delivery postcode driven product pricing.
• postcode-driven minimum order values.
• easy-to-understand product categories.
• customer account registration and order history views.

Also, by moving the backend system away from the overly complex and resource-heavy Magento, into the much more flexible and adaptible ExpressionEngine CMS (with CartThrob ecommerce module), we will be able to modify, adapt and grow the site and its features much more cost-effectively in the future.

Backend Order and Customer Management

We have developed our own Dashboard for managing orders and customer data, to help make the control and editing of the order data simpler for the Fordhams team.

All other website data is controlled from the within the ExpressionEngine control panel, which gives powerful and flexible content editing options.

Ecommerce Website Hosting

Hosting for the Fordhams Coal website is also provided by IC360, running on our Eco Website Hosting package. The server is fast and only uses renewable energy to power the network.
